Jean-Yves Lautredou

I discovered Jean-Yves LAUTRéDOU (born in 1956) in the journal AZART dated May 2005, and I was immediately impressed by his spontaneity, his graphic and colorful poetry.
I found in his work the virtuosity that brought him recognition, in the 80's, as one of the best French airbrush specialists. I also found the influence of calligraphy, something he discovered during his various journeys in Asia.
LAUTRéDOU is a painter whose energy is multiplied tenfold as soon as he starts dancing with his brushes on the canvas; his creative force comes from the depths of himself and runs on the canvas without limit. In fact, the only thing that interests him is this interaction, this intense joy of creating. Finally, the work output does not matter so much. The pleasure of looking at his own work is ephemeral and quickly replaced by the desire to start another painting.
But if his complicity with the canvas only lasts for a little while, he is very happy to see the audience take over and, even more, to know that his paintings are going to live somewhere else with their delighted owner.
